Embedded finned tubes, or G-tubes, are fabricated by embedding the aluminum fin into a groove in the tube.
The fin is then locked into place by rolls that force the groove to tighten around the fin base.
The secure bond between fin and tube makes this product well suited to equipment exposed to higher temperatures, continuous thermal cycling and tube vibration due to high velocity air streams.
The tubes can be used in applications with metal temperatures up to 750°F.
Common tube materials are carbon steel, stainless steel, Incoloy ®and Inconel®, however virtually any tube material can be used.
