  • Longitudinal finned pipes are used for heat transfer applications in the power generation, power recovery, petrochemical, oil & gas and industrial processing industries.
  • They can be oriented vertically or horizontally within the equipment to provide optimum heat transfer and efficiency.
  • Longitudinal fin pipes are manufactured by forming a metal strip into a U-shaped channel which is then welded to the surface of the pipe in a parallel pattern.
  • Tex-Fin uses resistance spot welding (RSW), which allows us to weld dissimilar metals together in a low-heat process.

Our high quality longitudinal finned pipes are manufactured to your exact specifications to meet the demands of your applications.   Our custom longitudinal finned pipes have the following options:

  • Pipe materials available are carbon steel, carbon moly, stainless steel, Incoloy ®and Inconel®. Other alloys are available if needed.
  • Fin materials available are carbon steel, 304, 316, 321 and 409 stainless steels. Other alloys are available if needed.
  • Pipe lengths up to 100’.
  • Pipe sizes from ¾” O.D. to 16 NPS (16” O.D.)
  • Fin heights from 7/32” (.21”) to 1-1/2”
  • Fin thickness from 20 ga. (.035”) to 18 ga. (.050”)
  • Pipes can be bent into the shapes required for your application.

We have the capabilities to manufacture solid finned pipes to meet ASME “U” and “S” stamp certifications.
