Edge tension wound, or K-fin, finned tubes are manufactured by tightly winding the
aluminum fin around a tube, using tension to securely attach the tube and fin together.

Edge Tension wound fin tubes are a low-cost solution for applications that generate metal temperatures below 250°F and exhibit low vibration.

Common tube materials are carbon steel, carbon chrome moly, stainless steel, Incoloy ®and Inconel®, however virtually any tube material can be used.

Tube sizes from 1/2” O.D. to 2” O.D.
Fin heights from 1/4” to 1”
Fin pitch from 4 fins/in. to 13 fins/in.
Tubes can be bent into the shapes required for your application.
